Most charity races seem to follow the same formula for their race advertising. One central picture of race participants is covered with sponsor logos, race times, and event details that render the ad unreadable. One of the most popular race, the Race for the Cure, usually falls victim to this formula.
These posters, designed to come directly from the Komen foundation itself, provide additional ad support to each individual race. The designs provide a visual and informational impact through the minimal use of type and color. They are also designed for maximum flexibility by only displaying the most important information on three easily changeable lines. This way, changes can be made quickly and easily for each city hosting a race. Ideally, these could be shown on kiosks, newspaper boxes, and city posting walls.
