The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans and beaches. One issue they’re tackling is the ever-growing problem of plastic pollution, especially the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Surprisingly, this well documented environmental problem is just starting to hit the news.
Solving the problem begins with creating awareness about the problem first. These posters are geared towards those who have an impact on this problem, anyone attending the beach. By showing the issue at hand and attaining the viewers attention through a personal approach, these aim to create awareness of our impact of the issue at hand. By leaving an impression on the viewer, it can ultimately lead to a greater sense of responsibility when visiting the beach.
